GOOD PEOPLE

We’ve spent a lot of time with passionate, close-to-home organic farmers. And we’ve learned something - food tastes better when it’s made by people who care.

We travelled across Italy in search of the best recipes, ingredients and family-guarded cooking secrets. But when it came to opening a restaurant in Brussels, we asked ourselves a question:

Surely there are people closer to home producing ingredients this good?

The answer, we found out, is that there are.

We work with the very best Belgian farmers, suppliers and producers to bring you mind-blowing dishes ruled by the seasons. These guys respect the land, and have taught us everything we know about where our food comes from - and how different it can taste when it’s grown properly. We take all our kitchen and front of house teams to these farms as part of their training, so they can get up close and personal with the produce they’ll be working with.

We visit our suppliers as often as we can, tasting their produce and always leaving with more knowledge than we came with. It turns out the food we were searching for was closer than we thought.

We think what you serve your food on matters. That’s why we get our tableware from local potter Sabine Deroo. She makes OUR CUTLERY HOLDERS, our presentation plates, our olive oil jugs, and the little cups we serve our olives in. Every piece is handmade in her atelier not far from Bruges. Because supporting local craftspeople is all part of the story.

Everyone who works at NONA knows everything there is to know about our food, and are always excited to talk about it. So ask them anything (except where the Ketchup is…)
